Olympic Weightlifting - Program Structure & Error Correction

This webinar explored Olympic weightlifting program design, and how to identify and correct common technique errors within the classic lifts. The strength ratios between the classic lifts and key strength lifts within Olympic weightlifting performance programming were also explored, and how we can use such ratio’s as coaches to identify which particular areas need improvement. This webinar was presented by UKSCA accredited coach, competitive masters lifter and YGSP tutor Tobias Leeds ASCC.

VBT Application in Practice

The development of velocity based training (VBT) has further advanced our capabilities as coaches to ensure dynamic correspondence, allowing athletes to replicate movement velocities within training. Such VBT technology is now readily available to coaches and athletes alike. Therefore, the aim of this webinar is to firstly introduce the concept of VBT, before further exploring how VBT can be applied within real world S&C practice. This webinar is presented by UKSCA accredited coach, competitive masters lifter and YGSP tutor Christian Glinister ASCC.

Wheelchair Athlete S&C

This webinar hosted in partnership with Velocity Academy explores the objectives of the strength and conditioning coach including the improvement of the required athletic performance qualities, and the prevention of injury. The webinar also details how these two vital objectives are related, and how we increase athlete robustness via the enhancement of each required performance quality. The relationship between maximal strength, power, rate of force development and Hills force-velocity curves is also explored.

Power Series - Plyometric Training

This webinar hosted hosted in partnership with ArenaFysio and the Athletic Sports School in Sweden explores the application of plyometric training within sports performance, including : the stretch shortening cycle and the aromatisation phase, concentric dominant vs tendon compliance vs tendon stiffness plyometric training modes, the importance of matching the biomechanical demands of the athletes chosen sport, training DOSE considerations when programming plyometric training within performance programs, and plyometric training pre-requisites.

S&C within Endurance Running

This webinar hosted by Jake Harvey and Lois Axson explores the required performance qualities within endurance running, and how applied evidence-based performance training can not only improve running performance, but also prevent injury. The webinar explores the fundamental biomechanics that underpins running performance, the need for force production, rate of force development, power and musculotendon stiffness within runners, optimal running mechanics and the importance of increasing an individuals aerobic capacity and anaerobic tolerance.

If You're Not Assessing .. Your Guessing

This webinar hosted in partnership with Archon Academy explored the importance of identifying the required performance qualities needed within an athletes chosen sport or an individuals performance goals, the importance of assessing the required performance qualities with correct valid testing methodology, and how to then implement evidence based training strategies to improve the required performance qualities. Such analysis allows the effectiveness of any applied training interventions to be evaluated, providing further clarity for future planned performance training, and ultimately, a greater increase overall performance.
