HEX BAR JUMPS

Single Effort Hex Bar Jumps

Single effort hex bar jumps are performed for single efforts jumps, whereby the athlete resets each rep making each rep as concentric dominant as possible. Start stood in the middle of the hexagonal bar, holding the hands as appropriate, drive through the floor performing the concentric dominant movement, explode in the air by triple extending at the ankle, knee and hip, ensure to reach full extension, brace at the torso upon take-off and landing, land with correct mechanics ensuring no valgus is present whilst maintaining correct spinal integrity upon impact, land and reset.

Repeat Effort Hex Bar Jumps

Repeat effort hex bar jumps are performed by completing a set of hex bar jumps using a repeat action whereby the athlete lands, absorbs the kinetic energy, and rebounds utilising the stretch shortening cycle.  Start stood in the middle of the hexagonal bar, holding the hands as appropriate, drive through the floor performing the concentric dominant movement, explode in the air by triple extending at the ankle, knee and hip, ensure to reach full extension, brace at the torso upon take-off and landing, land with correct mechanics ensuring no valgus is present whilst maintaining correct spinal integrity upon impact, land and immediately repeat the action in a tendon compliance action.
