UNILATERAL HIP HINGE
Single Legged Deadlift
A single legged deadlift is performed with the same mechanics as a regular bilateral stiffed legged deadlift, however one foot is raised and allowed to drift behind the body within the same alignment as the spine, whilst performing a hip hinge action with the planted leg. This is a proprioceptively difficult exercise, and is therefore a great exercise for improving neuromuscular and unilateral strength qualities.
